This early you
can have an idea of your little boy’s aptitude with the games
you play together with the toy
train sets. When you buy a wooden
train kit, one of the first things you do is to get the different
parts assembled together, to come up with the toy wooden
train set pictured on the package.
Take advantage of this opportunity to gauge initially what your
kid's aptitude is by observing him closely, as you follow the detailed
assembling instructions written on the instruction sheet accompanying
the toy. Let him do certain portions of the assembly of the parts,
to see if you can detect a hint or any sign of a mechanical type
aptitude that sometimes shows early in a boy with such inclination.
If you see some indication of his inclination to do things on his
own, as in the assembly of the wood
toy trains , your boy could be an engineer perhaps in his adult
life later. Many men who are in this kind of calling like mechanical
engineering, or machine specialists, say they always had a keen
interest for machines even as a little boy. They say this is the
main reason they pursued a career with the machines.
Mechanically inclined people end up as mechanical engineers later
as their profession, and if they join manufacturing companies they
normally head the maintenance departments for the machines used
in the mass production of the goods the company makes for sale to
the public.
For those who join up as members of the crews of ocean-going vessels,
they are responsible for the engines of the ship, keeping them in
top working condition and in making the necessary repairs on the
engines even while the ship is sailing the high seas. Ship captains
are dependent on the skills of their ship engineers, their services
being a matter of life and death, if they cannot restart the ship's
engines in the middle of the rough seas.
When you play with your kid now with the wood
train toys and you notice some kind of a mechanical aptitude
in him fully developed later in his adult life with the necessary
training, you can perhaps start dreaming of having a mechanical
engineer for a son someday. If he happens to serve aboard a ship
one day, sailing the international waters on those luxury ships
running regular tourist cruises around the world, you may want to
join him aboard as a special passenger.
When you find yourself aboard that luxury vessel later, you will
be one special passenger the captain of the ship will regularly
invite to his cabin for private meals, knowing you as the father
of a most important officer of the ship, your mechanical engineer
son. You might even be joining the captain in his dinners with some
of the beautiful lady passengers, seeking some friendly company
while in that cruise to the tropics.
All these thoughts are all in the future of your kid now playing
with that wooden train toy with you. What can prevent you from letting
your thoughts, and your dreams, from surging ahead of you? You are
just dreaming anyway, so do not economize in that!
